I just showed my new 2010 SCREW to a long time buddy who makes some bucks working on newer vehicles than I have. He drove the truck and loved it but said something to me that compelled me to ask if this condition still exists. He advised me to remove the spark plugs and coat the threads with anti-seize compound as they had a habit of freezing in the heads. Did Ford correct this issue in later production? Thanks much
Sometime in Oct 07 they changed the design of the spark plugs and cylinder head back to a conventional spark plug.

In case anyone was wondering, the 6.2 was designed with this specific problem in mind... suppossedly much more thread in the head so no blow outs, on either of th 2 plugs in that motor.. Had one blow out on my 2000 5.4. Scaired the hell outta me. Thought I had to replace the head. Wrong! put a helicoil in and it's still holding strong after about 30,000 miles. But remember, always put anti-seixe on the plugs. the heads are aluminum and the plugs are not... Without anti seize the plugs can really get stuck like chuck, even if they won't "blow out" anymore.
