I posted this question in aftermarket products and didnt get a response so I thought I'd try here. Anyone know where I can get a decent and inxpensive cover For my 1998 expy?
Best bet is to check the ussual web sites and 'back of magazine' type adds. It will be hard to find because the demand is sure to be fairly low. My guess is that most owners don't want to or can't wrestle what is sure to be a big and heavy cover.
Keep us posted if you find one as others might also be intrested.
I let you guys know if I find one. Unfortunately I have to park my beast on a tree lined street, so I have to deal with tree sap, pollen and bird crap. It's not fun dealing with those elements when you want your vehicle to be spotless 24/7.....
Personally, I would start out at Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Parts Barn, ETC. Look for some brands you like, and do a net search for them. There are so many accesories retailers out there, you will most definately find one thats in the price range your looking for.
Thanks for the that internet site, Draws. I did check the local stores like Pep Boys etc. They dont stock the size I need, probably because there isnt a big market for it. I did however find one of many websites that has SUV covers. www.fordvehicles.com
I bought the largest cover I could find from Walmart when I bought my X. It was a tight fit, she looked like a big girl in a tight skirt, pretty ridiculous. I was still putting it on though and I could do it by myself until I got ski racks. Now it is impossible for me to get the cover on by myself and I haven't been using it. I'm glad I didn't pay alot for it. Even if I had one that was made for an Expedition I think I would have a hard time getting it over the ski racks.
