Tom led our group.... I was one of the maniacs that stayed extra time to go mudding.... After leaving the trails I lost 3rd gear!!!! The pics on the XE site of the engine coated in mud are mine. We stopped at a car wash and sprayed everything down thinking there was mud caked in the linkage etc... no good... I drove home 3 hours in 2nd gear... The next morning I went to the local $.25 car wash and worked all the mud off the undercarriage and truck as I was going to have to go to the dealer and get the thing fixed under warranty... YEAH RIGHT with the entire truck (except the wiper area of the windshiled) coated with mud.... I leave the wash and BAM 3rd is back....
It was a blast (well excpet for the long scratch down the pass side of the truck that took 14 hours with a buffer and different compunds to get rid of)..... Anybody thinking about it for next year ... DO IT
