Just like the chubby kid on cheeseburger man!

Yep that's me...LOL I had to do it. I crawled under my 3/4 ton today with the sawzall and got to cuttin! Man, I wish I would have done this sooner! OMG!I LOVE IT! Man it is so responsive now. My curmudgeon neighbor across the street just loves it too. We have had words in the past.... Man I had NO idea how cool this truck really was until I did that. All I can say is WOW! Lucky for me I don't have to worry about po po. If I see cherries and berries, I just get MY ticket book out. You should see the look on their face when I do that. That ticket book has gotten me out of quite a few tickets as a matter of fact.

Well Rupe, you see its like this. A cop that stops your for speeding is more than likely going faster than you are to catch you. Right? Well when the xmas trees come on, I just grab it out of the door and start writing. Definitely a conversation piece when Gomer greets you at your window. I ask them how fast they had to go just to catch up with me. That usually doesn't get a very good response.

I used to be a reserve police officer. So that really does break the ice. I am slapped on the wrist and told to continue on. I tell them the only difference between their books and mine are the jelly doughnut stains on theirs act like good post it notes. Mine don't have that anymore...LOL

You know I never wrote a speeding ticket the whole time I was in LE. I just wrote stupid people tickets. I have been asked to give up my ticket book as it is not cool for a non-officer to have one. But I know where to get more....LMAO!

Well war, did your temp go up? Since I have cut off my muffler my temp went from riding on the "R" to riding between the "MA" Very responsive and that turbo spool sounds so awesome. But the temp has me puzzled. Not overheating so I am not too worried about it. Just noticed the change that is all. Curious as to what your experience has been.

Now Rupe you are just trying to get me to spend more money. Dangit where do I get guages? I bet I know where a set is in Washington. I can go visit a cpl of cousins up there and we can get all redneck if need be! LMAO!

Well I guess I will start shopping for gauges. Will I have to go aftermarket? Is there a swap from another year that might work just as good?

i went with an equus full sweep mechanical and replaced the temp light sending unit that is lower by the manifold, not the one near the ip housing, i left the stock gauge intact because i am re doing the whole set with the mechanicals and a custom face plate that my dad is making. he is cutting it from diamond plate and coating it with what he calls black chrome, it is a clear coat with a smoke tint, waaay cool!!! I do know for a fact that the N on these when working is 190 +/- 3. the full sweep gauge really lets me know what is going on. When i replaced my radiator, i learned that getting rid of my mechanical fan is a must, winter time with that thing tossing air around makes warmups take forever. But when it is warm, it rarely leaves the 190 area. Good Rad, Good times!! haha

Mechanicals huh. Well I guess I will start searching. Full set? Tach, temp, volt, turbo pressure and temp? I guess this explains why my fuel gauge acts funny too. Wonder what a custom mount by the rear view mirror would look like? Wonder how I could mount that. I have seen them on the pillar before for "tunes". Well going to let my fingers do the clicking!

What did you replace the fan with? Warm ups in winter this sounds nice, but what else did this do for you? Why kind of fan? How did you wire it and mount it? Sorry for the questions you just really have my interest peaked.

ADT you get that overhead guage pod worked out take some pictures.
I have been wanting to do something like that and I need an outside temp too.
They make a storage unit that screws in where the visors and relocates them that I want to look at and maybe modify it for my radios too.

All those gauges and the guy can't afford 2 bolts to hang the license plate so it has to ride on the dash..huh!

I hate stuff on the dash, especially when it reflects back in the windshield.
