ready to pull engine(s)?

Ready to swap eng out of 81 donor truck. What is best place to hook hoist chain to? I have done V8 before and they hook up pretty easy. considering accessory bracket on right front of eng and exh manifold bolt on left back?

I would try to use a longer bolt and try to bolt something in tight, maybe washers and a piece of chain? I can't remember what I used to lift mine with for the pan swap, but if you bolt something tight,it will be less likely to bend the bolt and break what ever is bolted, like your manifold.Go slow and watch everything and good luck, stay safe!
PS,I don't know about the bolt, mine is hydraulic.

Just pulled mine out of the old girl, I took the valve cover off and used a couple of longer grade 8 bolts in the head because the attaching doo-hickies wouldn't allow the existing head bolts to tighten-down. went pretty uneventfully, now I am taking her apart...

Easier for me

I already had the tranny out. Wire weren't too bad just the main harness that goes to the dizzy/oil and temp sensors. Book said I only needed to take the hood off, ended up taking the whole radiator support out. Sorry didn't think to take pics in progress I was too worried about droping it being that I was on an incline

yep, i removed my radiator, too. what ticks me off, is when the manual sez remove starter.....and doesn't say how many bolts, wires or anything.
