60 f100 4x4 shift pattern
in my 60 4x4 as there was no gear ***** on shifters.
is it hi-2 towards the dash then hi-4 then neutral then low 4x4
towards the seat ? any imfo would be great.
I also found another cab as mine has lots more rust than I thought.
Its lucky as there are not many 57-60 models here in Australia, so
it was really cool to find one. should have it in a week or so.
Then I can finially get to work on it, would like to have it done by
the end of the year, or sooner. Got to get some pics up soon, when I
have more time!!!
thanks Jeff
I don't know exactly what transfer case you've got in your truck, so I can't claim to know for certain what the shift pattern is. I can, however, tell you that every manual transfer case I've ever seen has a shift pattern exactly as you mentioned and I wouldn't see why yours would be any different. If the truck runs at all, verifying 4-LO and neutral should be easy enough. Good luck with it! I can't imagine the challenges of trying to restore an odd duck like a '60 4x4 in another country. Parts for those trucks are hard enough to find over here!
