Where can I find a good 1 barrel carburator for my 63 F-100 with a 223?

Autolite 1100, Try ebay or a junkyard with 60s and 70s ford cars. They were used on 200 sixes up till 1982.

Sorry, that's in-correct.

For one thing, you are assuming it's an Auto-Lite carb, when in fact, it could be a Holley, as both were used on trucks of this vintage (1961/64).

If an Auto-Lite....

Passenger cars have automatic chokes, trucks with this carb don't have them until 1970.

After 1972, there is no such thing as Auto-Lite anything.

Ford was forced by the US Gov't to sell Auto-Lite in 1972, because the Gov't claimed Ford had a monopoly on autoparts.

After selling Auto-Lite, Ford started in house brand Motorcraft, transfering all the former Auto-Lite part numbers to Motorcraft part numbers.

ALL 1973/78 passenger cars used Carter 1V's, as did most of the trucks. 1979/83 Passenger Cars with 200's came with either Carter's or Holley's.

I bought an '83 LTD w/a 200 brand new, it had the POS Carter carb on it.

Over the next 15 years, I had to replace that fracatta Carter carb three times, because rebuilding it...was a total waste of time.

Where in CA are you located?

If in SoCal, try either North Hollywood Carburetor & Ignition, or Engler Brothers Auto Parts in Santa Monica for a good rebuilt carb.

I thought the local rebuilds were only a problem with the Autolite... guess not! I finally got an (expensive) 1100 Autolite from Pony Carbs that I used on my 200 i6 mustang and it ran great. Not using it anymore since I changed to a V8... hint hint
