Finally found a pair of pliers so i can conclude that I've removed my a/c and heater core from the truck. Soon as I'm off again I'm going to pull the blower motor out and figure out why it isn't working.

All in all a good day.

I cleaned out the ashtray, sipped on a beer, lit a cigarette with the lighter, smoked, sipped, listened to the radio, smiled, put my cigarette out, closed the door and said see ya again tomorrow Henry.

Thats a bummer Smokin, One of the hardest things to do is wait. I had some hard bumps too when I was younger, I'm 62 now. This too shall pass. In a year from now you'll look back and say wow I made it through it and look what I learned.

Chance favors a prepared mind, so keep on learning about things you like to do and walah something will open up. Swap trade and do odd jobs. Take a zen approach that somethin good will happen you just don't know when but get ready.

Save your money while you are young you'll need it later when you are older.

Most of my fortune I spent on booze and broads, the rest, I just wasted.
Best of luck to you

Removed the blower motor and bench tested it. Turns out it works fine, but has a spot in the motor where it will get stuck and not turn. If you turn the motor before or after this spot it will work perfectly, but will not start from the bad spot. I'm wondering whether it needs to be oiled or not, as it is making a quiet squeaking noise while operating.

Failing that I'll be going to rockauto or work to order a new one.

Put in some Non-ethanol gas in it to see if I could tell a difference. It may be psychological, but it does seem like it runs better. I don't know if that because it's Non-ethanol gas or because it was 93 octane. LOL Next time I get gas I'm going to put some 93 octane with ethanol in it and see how it acts. I usually run just 87 with ethanol, but thought I'd switch it up to do a little unscientific testing.

Picked up some used headers and some brand spankin new valve covers (never out of the plastic yet)

Plan on slicing up the headers and adding on a couple of inches to the driver's side so that I can fit them on my 2WD 302 mydde0adde0adde0addc4dddc4dddc4d

I also discovered that my junkyard taurus E-fan will fit the truck with no real modifications. All i need to do is remove the flex fan and install the e-fan w/ some brackets. There looks to be at least two inches between the fan motor and the water pump pulley so I should be golden on clearance.

Hopefully the hardware store will have what I'm looking for, and if not, I can use what I get to make what I need.

I noticed a 3.5 MPG gain with e-free in my 300 l6. A savings of $42 per 100G @ $3.30 ( what I'm currently paying for e-free). I'll trade $30 for $72 any day.

I installed my Taurus fan with some aluminum flat bar stock from the hardware store.
