Oh I'm pretty sure it does that. Are you looking in the right spot and do you have the right module connected? If your accessing the ABS module, you can't run tests that are on the powertrain module etc.
mine tries and states I haven't meet something or other .. it also states some vehicles need steering wheel , brake and trany input to initiate ,, so I like a monkey have been turning the wheel 15 % stepping on the brake and hitting the tow button
Hello I would like some info on this and chime in. The only screen I would like is the contribution graph for each individual cylinder. Does this have that (like the ford IDS does). Between my edge platinum and a general knowledge of how the engine works, I can diagnose most of the issues fairly quickly. I would like to keep an eye on the mechanical side of the injectors though. if I have a mechanical injector problem (the edge will pull a code if it is an electrical side issue) most of the time if there is a mechanical side issue it will have to get pretty bad in order to throw a code readable by the edge. Has anyone bought a "Clone" VCM with IDS from hong kong? I have been researching this for quite some time now and figured since this was the topic I would see if anyone has went this route. I can get the program with the clone vcm for 700.
Zmann, I think you need to give me a call or call Auto Enginuity. I don't specialize in the 6.0L but have used the software alot on the 7.3L and haven't run into any of the issues you are. I am wondering if maybe there was an install error or something. Let me know so we can get you fixed up. Thanks
Thanks .. I look at it this way ,, the hype outsold the product ,,
I bought the Edge Insight and an SCT sF3 and both of those had cool Data logging features ,, and that wasn't why I bought those devices ,
then when I buy a true diagnostic tool it just wasn't what I was expecting
but I do appreciate the input and your delivery of the product was fast ( it was drop shipped from 5 miles away) lol

Out of all my bs'ing the product here, you are the only one to exhibit all of these issues(or even some of them). I'm thinking that something is corrupted(which is possible on any software or hardware). I have yet to hear of someone that regretted the purchase or had even the remotest issues that you have had right outside the box.

There really must be something wrong with your software or installation error or something. I can tell you from experience the SCT products(other then the TSX) do not have cool datalogging features, atleast not in my opinion. Now I don't know about the Insight, they may have. I know the DashDAQ does have some cool features, but SCT does not atleast not what I would call cooler then the AE software.
I'm really thinking that something else is going on with your software and/or hardware. I know we all like things to work right outside the box, but sometimes it does not.
Now don't get upset with the next few questions, but I feel compelled to ask them since you haven't mentioned one way or the other about it.
1. Have you called either RiffRaff or AE for tech support?
2. Have you checked out AE's FAQ's?
I just remember this as I was typing these questions:
3. Do you have version 8.0.x?
I remembered when I first downloaded 8.0.1 there was connectivity issues, but that was resolved by 8.1 and that is available for download on their site. Might want to check that out. I had called them and asked them about that and they said that was an issue with that release, which was one reason why 8.1 quickly followed behind it. I forgot about that issue. This was well after I had the software for a year, so it in my mind didn't qualify as the failure right outside the box.
I did check the version when I called AE and yes I do have the latest
also the pro and ford bundle
I didn't call RiffRaff , but it really isn't anything to do with them ,, they were fine it was drop shipped and at my door in 3 days
I will always be the first to bitch about something and also the first to offer praise ,, it's my nature ,, I apparently was led to expect to much .. not by AE just by all the Hype ,, so I was looking to let others make a more thorough choice

Thing is your experience isn't the status quo and if the bitching is based off of a fluke experience then that's very different then something that is more common or something that is truly a problem throughout the product.
Everything that I've read in your posts makes me to think that there is a corruption in the software and/or hardware. Not a very common issue, but something that can happen.
The reason why I suggested calling RiffRaff is because sometimes when you buy from a 3rd party, the makers want you to first go through the 3rd party and not to them directly for customer support of any type. Suncoast is very bad about making that abundantly clear.
.. This is most likely as good as this runs ,, I am no slacker on computers or mechanics ,, I understand you are a proponent of this product ,, I am voicing my view from what I was expecting
I am not out to debate this to death ,, just posting my impression
I will dial it in a little more but honestly I could post some more obvious faults .. like the connector that sticks down far enough to hinder peddle operation ,, that is actually a hazard for real time data logging
like the connector that sticks down far enough to hinder peddle operation ,, that is actually a hazard for real time data logging
You know, I never really thought of that, but your right. I typically use the DashDAQ for datalogging because I need to do it on the fly and a 18" laptop is anything but on the fly.
lol ! I actually pulled the ob connector from the dash and relocated it for now so my size 13 doesn't snap it off ,, anyway I will keep posting my experiences ,,
Seems they are having issues right now with some of the software mating with the pro-line connector. Did they send you the pro-line connector? I recently ordered the software and one of the main reasons was so I could program my tire size and it won't even do that. Also bought it so I could do buzz test and other items like datalog oil temp/coolant temp and such and this works ok. I have an SCT xcal 3 but SCTs datalogging plain stinks for the 6.0, it is great for mustangs as that is what I use on my 01 mustang GT. Also bought the AE to reprogram my PATS in my mustang and check out my friends ABS code in his mustang but I haven't tried any of these yet. The AE program also crashes for me, well not really crashes but when I try to close the program it tells me most of the time that it stopped working or makes an audible noise as if it has not been closed properly.
thats what I get ,, often won't respond .. even when I set the priority high for the program ,, the proline and software was a bundle along with the enhanced ford
I just heard that it will set tire size ,, but I haven't seen that yet
