This seems to be a hot topic. What is the best muffler choice for the V10 engine?

 

"best" varies by definition, I also am curious for a recommendation for something that will not be restrictive, have a nice mellow tone, but not be loud. I will have my ebay headers on once its warm enough to work on the truck without needing thermal bibs on, have a high flow magnaflow cat, and currently have an aftermarket no name muffler that is louder than i care for, any suggestions?

 

Get yourself a Cherry Bomb Extreme. Did lots of research and love the muffler.

 

V10 2004,i have borla long tube headers and mufflers with side exhaust before the rear tires. Excellent sounding truck. Ive had people say it is the best sounding truck in town. Everyone swears it is a diesel. It is not too loud but it is deep. Ill be glad to post a video of the sound if you were interested in hearing it.

 

this is what i would do if i were muffler shopping for my V10.

 

I went with a Flowmaster big block 50 series on my 03 V10. quiet overall, but has a nice growl between 2-3K rpms. With the Ebay y pipe and this muffler, I got a huge increase in highway MPG.
