My 4 gauges are still hard at work with no issues at all.

Question Exactly which gauges to buy...

NEVERMIND on this section, I found dvldog458's answer here.

<DEL>dvldog458 or someone else that would know...</DEL>
<DEL>

I have a 2005 EX EB 4WD 6.0L and need to know which gauges to buy as far as what ranges some include. Here is what I am looking at for the 4 gauge pillar...
  • EGT - Exhaust Gas Temp Gauge 1500 F or EGT - Exhaust Gas Temp Gauge 2400 F?
  • Boost / Vacuum Gauge, 35psi Boost Gauge, 60psi Boost Gauge or 110psi Boost Gauge?
  • Trans Temp Gauge (even though I have the stock one)
  • Volt Gauge
Are there others that I need to consider/swap out? I know the EGT and Tran should both be a no brainer, but what about the others. Which of the EGT and Boost should I need?
</DEL>

dvldog458, I saw that you bought the tan pillar and would ASSume that you have the tan/beige interior, how did it match up? I have the Eddie Bauer beige/brown interior and was curious if it blended well.

Thanks in advance...

It matches perfect for the pillar pod....but the lower under dash pod is a few shades darker.

My glowshift gauges work fine. But they are inaccurate (EOT, ECT). The sensors are located, at the driver side engine block (ECT) and the OEM oil filter cap. How are you guys getting your readings from (location of the sensors)?

Another option for a 6.0l is a ScanGuage II. You can see a lot of important info for just $150. The short list is boost(MAP), voltage, engine oil temp, engine coolant temp, tranny temp, FICM main and logic voltage, fan speed, ICP, IPR duty cycle, VGT duty cycle, etc etc. It can also read and clear DTC's.

New codes are coming out all the time for these units to see just about anything accessible from the OBDII port/PCM.

EGT's will still have to be watched with a pyro, and fuel pressure will still need a separate gauge and sender. For untuned trucks a ScanGuage II and fuel pressure gauge are mandatory equipment AFAIC.

Most of the info that's out there regarding 6.0l EOT/ECT temps is based on what's seen by the PCM using the factory sensors. Any other location will give you different results/data. The only way to display PCM data accurately is with something that plugs into the OBDII port.
