Question about Primary Battery Fuse

Question about Primary Battery Fuse
1998 F-150 4.2 4x4 5speed.
So I left for work this morning at 4. Went out started the truck the battery light was on. Everything seemed fine so I left it to warm up. Went back out lights were dim radio was out ABS, Air bag, and Low Fuel lights were on and there was something beeping. I didnt have time for it so I shut it off and took the car. Got home had to boost it to start it. Battery light was still on and it wasn't showing a charge but everything was working. I wiggled the little white wire on the alt. and the batt. light went out. I popped the cover off the Primary fuses and the bottom fuse was broken away from where it mounts to the firewall. I wiggled that and everything is fine now. Where that is broken off of the firewall be the cause of all this? Sorry for the long post and Thanks in advanced!
