did u figure out the headlight issue?u could just get some smaller lights and make a bracket to fit in stock location.i think the dovetail is a great idea.i dont know what terrain u wheel but it sure will help u keep that full size rig off the trees and rocks.

The purpose of dovetailing a truck/bronco/jeep whatever is not to gain tire clearance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its for turning radius clearance in the front and rear. Real good for trail rigs and rock crawlers. Useless for a mud truck.

the rigs ive seen dovetailed sure gained clearance for larger tire uptravel.when tires are stuffed u dont have a fender directly above the tire.u if are worried about clearance turning y not just remove some of the inner fender wall if ur tires are rubbing?enlighten me on how dovetailing helps w/ turning?
