Boy, You come up with some good ones.

If ya tape measure aint broke, go find one and measure it yourself, at the place you want to know the measurement.

The sides aren't straight up.

I'll save you the trouble of finding one to measure... because i'm pulling one from my parts truck this weekend, from the widest part exaust manifold to exaust manifold 22-23 inches wide.

just curious, why are you wondering? if you're wondering if it'll fit, I'm pretty sure even the Roush 588 fits in these engine bays!

Heck even a 7.3 PSD fits...

I'm glad there's sensible people willing to help like Bill W...it helps offset the "I'm just posting snarly crap to post" crap like John apparently likes to do. John is this your form of new guy hazing or something? This is the second thread this guy posted a question and you offer no help, just negative remarks... I thought the goal was to help each other out here, not punk out people for asking questions....give the guy a break man, he's just trying to learn....

What's negative, I'm to lazy to get away from my computer to measure my 302 block so I want you to move away from yours, go out side to the shed (if you have one) and measure one for me while I stay inside where it's warm.

He can learn with the tape measure in his hand, bro. That way he can get the measurement zackly where he wants it.

Besides that look at the title.

Smart *** remarks.

Just maybe he doesn't have a 302 and is considering buying one to try somthing and thought somone on this board would be able to help him out, without going out into the chilly hellish cold part of this country (read: they just know the rough answer here) too look at it. Maybe then if he doesnt like the answer he gets he could ask a more detailed question. But shoot I live in Cali and its nice here almost all year and I don't mind looking up simple things or taking a stroll outside to get measurements of something that won't break my back. Its just a good time to slow down and have a nice cold beer.

That was my thinking too, I'm sure if a guy can type, he can measure something he has....

That table of measurements is something good to have, thank you GLR for posting it.
