New Headlights!

New Headlights!
I thought I would post some pics of my new headlights. I ordered them off of ebay for $119.99. I know I know, they are the Harley look alike headlights, and before people start giving me a bunch of greif about quality and they wont last etc, I can buy 4 sets of these for the price of 1 set of genuine Ford Harley lights, so there!

It would have taken me a total of 1/2 hour to install, however my truck was involved in an accident before I bought it (drivers side headlight was held in by ONLY zip ties) and the new headlight did not line up properly, so it required me to "re-bend" some of the mounting brackets.
I think they look great, and it was for a great price too!
If anyone wants I have more detailed pictures of the installation.

2004 2005 2006 2007 FORD F150 CRYSTAL HEADLIGHTS BLACK : eBay Motors (item 320414913271 end time Feb-17-10 16:19:25 PST)
That is the link to a current auction of these lights.
There didn't appear to be any quality issues or fitment issues with these lights, even given their cheap price. I'm sure they probably wont last as long as most OEM lights, but who cares?
Yeah, when I start a project, there is not much that will stop me from completeing it. It would have actually been quite pleasant, however the drivers side fender area was a little "out of adjustment" and I had to do some work to get the headlight to even fit. In total there were 6 10mm bolts that needed to be removed, and 2 plastic fasteners that had to be removed.
I would recommend doing it.

they aren't DOT legal...but as long as the light pattern is good, why not?
btw, I highly highly suggest you pull those babies off for 1 day and seal them up with some outdoor grade silicone that stays pliant.
Tons of guys run those headlights without any issues. But they all develop fogging and water issues down the road. A simple pre-treatment of silicone on the edges of the case can stop that before it happens

Bed rails are GREAT!!!!! I'm lovin them....thanks
As for the HID's....i've got retro-solutions.com digital 55W set....i got the slim ballasts and am having a minor annoying problem with them and the remote starter....but they work great otherwise....
I've put in 3 sets of their kits in other cars and i've always loved the quailty.
If you go hid its my opinion that 5000K is the best option...
