Warn Powerplant HD - Compressor ?
I only had this powerplant for about a month and used the air compressor 3 or 4 times, but today I noticed when I disconnected the air hose, air rushed out of it. I don’t remember it doing that before, and I’m able to find in the operator manual to see if that was the normal operation procedure or not. I just know I must have jumped 3’ feet back when it happened. Yea, I sent a email to Warn Customer service to get their opinion, but I know you folks are a helluva lot faster with answering these type of questions.

Look inside the fitting, if there is a shrader valve (like in your tires) then it shouldn't purge. If there is no shrader in it, then it will dump as soon as it can. If there isn't a reservoir (tank) then the only reason to hold a charge is to keep trash out of the fittings.
Are you sure it was the pump and not the hose? on every hose I've messed with, the male fitting has no valve and will purge once you disconnect it.

ReAx, it might have been the air rushing out of the air hose instead of the pump. Duh, Brainfart. I don't believe there is an shrader valve in the fitting either, so it is most likely operating correctly. I'll check it out this evening when I get home this evening. Thanks
