Sensors and Locations

I've seen several threads on here and a question that many ask is the location of certain sensors. I've compiled a list (from memory as if that is reliable) and their locations. Here they are:

7.3 powerstroke diesel sensors and electronics.

Sensors:
<O></O>
CPS-Cam Position Sensor; front of engine at the 2 O’clock position of the harmonic balancer
(from the back of the engine, 10 O’clock from the front)
FPR – Fuel Pressure Regulator; on back of High pressure Oil Pump below fuel filter bowl
IPS – Injector Pressure Sensor; On left cylinder head oil rail, front of engine
MAPS - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor – On heater core box just to the right of the engine
EBPS- Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor-Front of engine above water pump connected to steel line going to right exhaust manifold
WTS-Water Temp Sensor; screwed into top of water pump housing.
AITS- Air Inlet Temp Sensor; snapped into back of air cleaner box
LOPS - Low Oil Pressure Sensor; On top of the HPOP reservoir.
TPS – Throttle Position Sensor; Under the dash on the gas pedal bracket.
<O></O>
Electronics:
<O></O>
PCM- Powerplant control Module; left firewall under master cylinder or inside cab, depending on year of truck
IDM- Injector drive module; inside left fender behind left front tire, behind plastic fender liner.
<O> Hope this helps some of you. If anyone thinks of any more, feel free to add on.</O>

I know it's not a sensor, but IPR might be worth adding to the list. Maybe GPR and AIH relay (front vs rear).

I may try to find that picture with all the labels on it. It's around here somewhere.

Just for a correction..you have the FPR fuel pressure regulator listed below the fuel bowl on the back of the hpop..that is actually the IPR...injection pressure regulator..
