Bands in Transmission
It started out slight, and now it's getting worse, my bands aren't catching in the transmission, and I get strange sounds when I shift, it acts like I come off of the gas in mid-shift (it's an automatic, so when it shifts, that what it sounds like 
) What do you think? I don't know if i have a c4 or a c6 tranny though??
Any ideas?? Fix or Replace? Prices??

Did it suddenly start acting up during the really cold weather? If so, see if it straightens up when the weather warms a little. You probably checked the fluid level didn't you? If it's been doing it all the time, pull the tranny pan and put a new filter in. When you take the pan off look in the bottom of it for metal, etc. Some fine metal particles are pretty normal, put big chunks of metal are not a good sign. Also check the color of the fluid. Bright pink is new, dark red is used but ok, and brown and stinky means the trans has been overheated and needs new fluid bad.
