fuel pump
O.K. ..coming from Glamis after riding for the weekend I was in my 86 f-150 302/AOD 175000 miles 6"lift and 33" muds after coming up the hill and stopping in Julian Ca. for some apple pie I started my truck drove and it dies...... would not start .........The engine sounded like it was not getting gas .
EFI .
so I'm lost waited and waited . So I switched tanks and it started right up and drove home. When I got home I put it back on the the front tank and no problems. WHY? did my fuel pump get to hot from going up the hill?, on and off the gas?
it works now but I'm still looking for the answer.
