Okay..I have an 86 Bronco II, and I'm really getting tired of all the crap breakin down on me. One thing gets fixed and the next thing goes. Right now it won't start at all. It wants to but it won't turn over, it just sort of grinds and seems to suck battery power in the process. I just had ignition wires done, solenoid done, fuel filter is fine, and still nothing. It tries when I turn the key, but then just grinds. Ignition switch, and timing were all done. Anyone please help, Because I'm about to drive it off a cliff.
Maybe the starter is bad.Not that hard to replace but when its bad they turn slow and suck a lot of juice then go dead. I think that's the only thing you have not replaced. You usually can find a parts store that can run a test on the old starter. Hope this helps.

Thanx for the input..but I've been screwing around with it a little and the noise is coming from the solenoid. Like a buzzing sound. The solenoid is only a couple months old, brand new. Is it possible that sitting for a month in cold weather has something to do with it? Not too cold but at coldest -5. Wouldn't the starter make some kind of noise?
Angelblake..
The starter doesn't make any noise that you can usually hear unless the bearing is bad but instead just turns slow and dies. If the solinoid connects with the starter at all it is usually good. Most of the time it is ---Bad Starter or Battery. The solinoid will make a clicking sound if their isn't enough juice coming thru. Hope this helps some. Let me know
