Im going to do my exhaust..Do i really need a DP? Does it make that much of a difference? Im going to run it out infront of the rear tire on the passnangers side with a huge tip..Should i order a DP or just straight pipe it? Also not looking to spend a bunch of money what DP do i get?
IMO, the 3 is good enough, but bigger is better, just harder to install. if your not going crazy with performance, the 3 should be enough, thats what myself and many others have. have you seen the stock pipe?
BuD get your azz down there and heck out how ugly that dp is an how pancaked it is lol, If I could only buy just 1 I would buy the dp imager of rhe exhaust asuming I could only afford a cat back kinda deal, there is nothing performance about rhe stock dp
yea, i took the muffler off and welded a piece in its place...no power or sound gain...i dont want it tooo loud, but that factory down pipe is awful. So im going to do a 3" down pipe to 3 inch straight pips right out the side with a 5" tip. Its a crew cab long be so it wont be soo loud i dont think.
I been trying to figure out the exhaust on my truck I need to run it in front of my rear tire cause how i put on my mud flaps for my dually, Im getting a down pipe but wanted to run 4 inch pipe instead of 3 in, i was just gonna get the local mufffler shop to do the straight pipe part but the biggest they can do is 3 inch so wasnt sure if there's a big differance between the 3 and 4, Isnt the stock 3 inch?
If you don,t wan,t too loud don,t put straight 3.5" it is very snappy loud I don,t think it sounds good just go 4" from the down pipe out it sounds way better not as snappy loud more of a deep rumble.
I've got a 3-4 inch downpipe from tymar. Love it and the fit was real easy on my truck. Straight piped from there exiting in front of rear tire. It's loud, just so you know, doing it this way, but sounds awesome. I did my whole exhaust myself in half a day for around 200 bucks total. Bought 4" pipe and elbow from summit for a good price and welded together.
Ordered my MBRP downpipe today..110$ not too bad. Whats the deal with the DP its two pieces i believe..Do you weld it together once installed? And then go with my stock exhaust to the down pipe and out? Im going to install this saturday and fab up exhaust to exit out before the rear tire! Should be aiiightt lol Is it going to make me wish i had a muffler? Wish i knew what i was doing...
I have mine like that as well out the side in front of the back tire it is pretty loud but I find if you exit it on an angle towards the back tire rather than straight out the side it is not as loud sound doesn,t bounce off everything wish I had a vid of what your in for I know TJ had a vid of himself plowing with a side exit exhaust or Farm has one with a cold start .
