We are going to need a little more information than it's "not getting any fuel."

First off, how do you know it's not getting any fuel? Have you checked fuel pressure at the schrader valve?

Are you getting any smoke while cranking?

What year is the truck? Any mods?

As Farm states. What is the pressure?
Is the filter full?

it wasnt getting any pressure at the valve its completly stock and it wasnt getting anything to the engine to even try to smoke. i learned from another buddy that the end piece of the pick-up tube in the tank sometimes breaks off not allowing it to get fuel when its low so i told them to try adding more fuel as the tank was low as see if thats the problem. i will hear back from them today if that solved it.

The fuel pickup bypass valve can also be open.

Hey guys I was actually goin to ask the same question for my gf dad. The filter is not refilling on his 97 F250. My 01 has a electronic fuel pump but I read on here his is manual. Where is his located? And any other suggestions would help, his truck has been down for two weeks.

The 97 has a mechanical lift pump in the valley of the engine driven off the cam shaft. Its between the fuel bowl and the turbo. They don't often just quit working. Normally the leak and then get replaced. I wonder the 97 has a fuel tank selector valve issue where it has an empty fuel tank and won't switch over to the full tank.

I'm pretty sure his has two tanks. I work out of town and today is the first day I will actually see the truck since it tore up. It died crossing an intersection and would fire at all after that. Is his setup the same as my 01 besides the manual fuel pump?

Its pretty much the same. A few things to look for are if the WTS light comes on. If not check the PCM fuse. Does the tach register RPM check CPS if not.

Well, changed the fuel pump and truck will run but wont drive. Pump is not supplying enough fuel to keep the bowl full. They said there is a valve on the fire wall that is leaking fuel. Not sure if they are talkin about the shradder valve?? Gonna change it in the morning. Dropped tank cleaned everything out and blowed the lines out. Is there another filter on these models between the tank and the pump?

Kind of aggrevated cause we get a little bit of snow in south alabama and the power company calls us all out of town so i can't be there to put my hands on it.

Any other suggestions would help.
