I couldn't pump that little bugger fast enough to build either vac or pressure on that side, that's why I was thinking of the air compressor to pressurize it to about 10lbs and see if I can squirt some soapy water around to find the leak. Or I could order up the O-rings and hope its not the big seal in the knuckle.
Patrick- Electronic Shift On the Fly 4x4. You don't need to worry about it as I recall

ahhh, no I don't have to worry about it but none the less, good to know. Oh, BTW, if you have some time in the next few weeks I have some work to get done on my rig. I'll give you a buzz though and back to the subject at hand.
Edit: Oh, let me know if you would like a hand.

I have a driver side hub vac leak. I replaced the outside black O-ring but that didn't help. That would have been to easy. I'm going to pull the hub and replace the yellow O-ring and cross my fingers. I have a set of O-rings for the passenger side as well. If the driver side isn't too difficult then I'll do the passenger side. If it's a PITA then the passenger side can wait till it starts leaking.
Good luck. I hope you don't have to replace the seal.

Not too many modern cars can have brakes bleed with vacuum.
I failed to bleed brakes on my F450 with vacuum and had to use traditional pumping.
My Mercedes for example require pressure bleeding while applying 35 psi on the master cylinder.
That said about $80 buys you MityVac oil extractor that can be also used for brakes vacuuming. Can't beat big pump and 9 liter tank.
