I have a growling noise in the driver side front end of my f-550 only when it is engaged in 4 wheel drive, it doesnt have this sound when the hubs are locked in or not just when i engage the transfer case in, i took the hub off, it looked ok, any suggestions?
Sorry for the delay in responces to your post. Sometimes it takes a bit for the right FTE member to run across certain posts when it's busy here.
It may be a bad hub assembly or bearing (does your Truck have ESOF? - auto hubs). But hang in here for a bit and I'm sure someone will jump in with hopefully more insight for you.
