Jeffrey, thank you so much for doing that for me, I don't think I will need measurements. A picture is worth a thousand words. If I have any more questions I'll let you know. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out

No problem. I would just take the measurements of the other writeups (I think it is 5.5 in. off of the windshield rubber) and then see how far back the lights sit. Then you can adjust from there if you have to.

For the 08 up trucks, the harness plugs in on the driver's side behind the emergency brake.

Hi, and thanks for the info, someone else told me that also, but when I looked I couldn't find it. I will look again though because it makes sense to me that it would be there as the sattelite antennae is on the drivers side also. Like I said though I think the easiest thing is going to be pulling down the headliner and tracing the existing sattelite cable as the new harness came with one also.If it becomes to much of a problem I think I will still use the harness that came with it and it should be fairly simple to find power and a ground anywhere under the dash. Thanks to everyone that has put some input in, I find this forum an awesome place for info. I think I'm going to tackle this maybe this weekend (if the wife doesn't find something else for me to do) I'll try to confirm locations etc for future users that are interested in doing their own install. When I talked to the dealer about doing this he said he was going to have to remove the canopy and take out the back window to remove the headliner, I know for a fact this is not true and you can pull it down enough with out doing this. I learned this from these forums and by talking to other people.DON'T always listen to dealers
Thanks Again Everyone that helped me out

Well I did it! I left work early today as I was "sick". Anyway UGA33 was right the wiring harness was behind the emergency brake. The harness I got from Ford worked perfectly, you have to look for it but it is there behind the e brake. Job took about 4 hours and a few cold beverages. The measurements were right.hardest part was finding the center. From there it was 5.5" from the rubber and 8" on either side from the middle. The 2 outside were 13" from those. You do need the 5.5" otherwise there is a brace that would get in the way.I want to thank everyone that put there 2 cents in,they look great
Thanks again

You are right. After I did it the first time and it leaked, on the next truck I put them on I went way over-board on the silicone to make sure it didn't leak.

I took it to a car wash this morning to get rid of any metal shavings etc that I couldn't vacuum, so far so good. I didn't use any silicone and the rubber seal seemed to work very well. I wonder if an after market one wouldn't work as good as Ford's factory lights. Thanks for all the input, they really do make the truck look better
