6.0 woes

HELP! I have an '03 F550 with the 6.0. Replaced FICM and INJ. two weeks ago and has been running great! Yesterday it took a dump, no codes, lots of white smoke and fuel dripping from exhaust. Any ideas?

If it is fuel dripping out, you probably have a cracked injector tip or a blown o-ring. If it is coolant dripping out it would be a blown EGR cooler. What are you using to read codes? Some scanners won't show you cylinder contribution codes, which could point you to the bad injector.

I have an OTC and it does show cylinder contribution. It had three bad injecters and a bad FICM and didn't run this horrible. I thought it was coolant too 'til I stuck my finger in it, it's diesel.

Its possible one of the new injectors was defective and the tip blew off.

I don't know what else you want. Fuel coming out the exhaust is usually an injector leaking, so you need to do a cylinder contribution test to see which one it is or a compression/balloon test to see which is leaking and then replace it.

I think he wants you to fix it without you even seeing it!

check you oil level as well befor testing or driving. heavy deloution of fuel in oil will cause the engine to "run away" thats not fun
