Inside door panel removal help

The driver's side front window on my 2002 Expedition fell down into the door and will not go back up. The window motor seems to be working, but only seems to be pushing the window up to the point where the window comes up through the door to the actual area the window occupies. I tried to pull the door panel apart tonight in 20 degree temps, but gave up after about 30 minutes. I got the door handle off, as well as the upper trim piece by the outside mirror control switch. I found the phillips head screw behind that trim piece and removed it. However, the panel will not budge. Are there any hidden screws I need to look for? Any help is greatly appreciated. There's another major snowstorm coming Tuesday, and I'd like to have my window back up by then, even if it is just temporary. Thanks!

No, missed that one. That would explain the resistance I was feeling in that area when I tried moving the panel. Thanks for the help! So greatly appreciated. Going to be a very cold ride into work in a few hours, but at least I'll have a nice, warm shop to work in. I think I figured out what happened already with the window, so should be a relatively quick fix, once I get the panel off and the weather shield pulled back Thanks again, madsonp, for the assistance.

There is a third screw as well. Pry up the power window plate, move it out of the way and look straight into the door to see the screw. After the third screw is out, lift up and out away from the door with the panel. You will have to first disconnect the switch connectors. Do the same thing to the power mirror switch, pry up and unplug it.

Same thing happened to me last week. One of the he spot welds broke where indicated by the red circle in the picture below. I was able to realign the two pieces and weld them together instead of buying a new regulator. But for some it's just easier to buy a new regulator and swap it out. I've seen them on eBay for as little as $20 plus s&h.

Thanks, both of you, for the replies. I did find that 3rd screw and the panel slid up and out of the way. I got the window all fixed and back in service. The X-bars, in alloro's picture, actually came disconnected from the window itself. I can guess the window was frozen in place from the snow & ice, and the torque of the window motor, literally pulled the clamps off the window, yet the window remained frozen in place, until I started looking at it, at which point the window dislodged from the window groove in the door, and fell down into the door. Luckily, we had some heavy-duty adhesive sealant at work, which I used to re-attach the clamps to the window. I let it set-up for about 10 minutes and tried the window. Everything works 100% again & no more freezing to death while driving with the window down. I was certainly getting some odd looks from fellow commuters this morning. I will say, however, that with both the front and rear heaters on full blast, I was actually pretty comfortable for my 45 minute ride into work this morning at 6:30am. Outside temp was reading 17 degrees.

Thanks again for both of your help and assistance. Greatly appreciated!!

Yeah, that is a bit more chilly than it is here. We just had one Nor'Easter (28.5 inches), and another is coming tomorrow night, expected to rival this past weekend's storm. Preliminary guesstimates are between 12-18 inches, however, the updated storm track is now showing possibly over 2 feet where I am. Thank goodness for the Expy!!!
