hello
i was asked to work on a 1999 f 150 with the 4.2L v 6. When the truck is started up it squeals. The duration of the squeal varies between when the engine is warm and cold. When the truck is warm it only lasts for about 2 or 4 seconds however when it is cold it lasts for approximately 20 plus seconds. All the pulleys turn when the engine starts up and runs. No issues there. However the belt tensioner is not moving at all which we are going to replace. The noise seems to be coming from the back(tranny) side of the engine. Any suggestions on what it could be?
