my recently purchse 93 f350 dually the brake pedle is still not like it should be and i replaced the wheel cylinders shoes rotors pads callipers master cylinder new rubber lines and bled the system several times and went through several large containers of brake fluid 4 to be exact the pedal is still spongey and im not sure were to go from here
i ve had all kind of brake problems , i even think my abs module may be bad .to me it seems like a lot of auto zone parts made in china or reman parts all suck, along with orielly ect. even napa got lots of made in china. maybe defective master or bench bleed it first
that be my next guess ,, vacuum pump but i m not the pro here, i ve done all the replacements to including the vacuum pump on my f250 93 4x4 allstock. im probably going to replace the rear abs module next , as just figure its old , as my pedel instead of being spongy sometimes it becomes firmer. there has to be some kind electronic control on a abs setup as the module does plug in.
Personally, I will not replace a master cylinder or booster individually anymore, if one is getting replaced, they will get done as a set. Too often I've replaced one, then find out shortly after the other one needs replaced. Seems that if the master is leaking, it messes up the diaphragm for the booster.
As far as vacuum itself, if your heater switches from defrost to floor etc, then you have some at least, if it isn't switching, you may need a vacuum pump too.
When you bled the brakes did you do the RABs valve in between the rears and fronts on the frame left side.
Do not worry about spongy, if you drive it and it stops with NORMAL pressure applied.
Doing a vacuum test, and the correct bleeding proceedure should be all you need.
HOWEVER if you accidently dropped the REACTION DISK from its location in the booster you will get a long pedal travel......... then a slamm your face into the windshild stop.
We worrys more about gettin tha trucks runnin than what tha english teacher thinks.
thanks thats what i worry about is fixing truck not grammer so i need to bleed the little juction boxes i have never had to do that in the past its all fresh brake fluid coming out every were ill try that if you guys think it will help
Throw in a comma or two, or a period; and your post will make sense.
Around here you'd be better off to not get to critical about how people talk, type, etc. This isn't like other forums on the net, around here we are all good olé boys. Critical attitudes will get you no where fast.
