Dead brake pedal

I am having brake problems on a 95 ford ranger 4cyl. I replaced the master cylinder (bench bleed) and bled the brakes several times and the pedal still goes to the floor? I was told it might be my ABS system but how do I go about fixing it? Where do I start?

usually an ABS light comes on when you have a problem. You probably still have an air bubble.

Slow down while bleeding the system; it's easier to get the air out that way.

I'll try it again but I have bled them every weekend for the last two weekends. My father (a mechanic for 20years until electronics became involved) helped me out both times and he was confused about it. He called a buddy and was told that the truck has an ABS valve that might be malfuctioning. Any ideas?

Try going to the farthest wheel away ( Pass rear), and loosening the bleeder screw. DONT touch the brake pedal at all let gravity pull the fluid out. As soon as fluid sarts flowing out close bleeder then go to next farthest wheel away (Driver rear and repeat ). Then onto Pass front then drivers front.
Be sure to add any fluid that is lost.
If fluid should happen to flow out immediately when gravity bleeding then look at master cylinder or porportioning valve.
Also if you lift the vehicle while bleeding be sure to lift all four corners about same height.
