Just got a 1991 E350 extended club wagon and want to convert the 8 lug hubs to fit 6 lug wheels I have off of a suburban. Is this possible and what do I need to get/do? Any help is appreciated.
Yeah, there are adapters, but I suggest you forgo the idea because those wheels and lug pattern is not designed for the load your van has and is built to carry, you'll experience total failure. Also the wheel center even adapted, would not clear the hub of the rear axle, try to leave GM parts off your Ford, you'll curse it!
Those guys are correct, and also, Chevrolet wheels center on a projection on the hub and use flat faced nuts. Ford wheels center on dimples on the wheels, conical (self centering) nuts, and stay true. It is more expensive to produce, but what else is new?
