COP not getting juice

I have an issue with the #5 cylinder, pulled code 305. As usual thought it was a bad COP. Not the case, moved COP around and is working fine. Any COP i put in the #5 spot - nothing, engine still shakes? Any ideas?

did you move the plug? also after that your next step would be to get a compression test, also it could be the injector

come to think of it, i did add an injector cleaner last week to the gas fillup. How do you tell if the injector is dirty/plugged?

Try swapping the the plug, and maybe the injector if needed, like fordtech08 said. If it continues then it could be a fuel delivery problem or a bad sensor. Sometimes the MAF or the IAC can cause the engine to shake and miss. Check to see what it does when the engine is under a load if the shaking gets worse most likely it is misfiring in one or more cylinders.

Well it seems as if my Expy is having greater issues, not sure if coincidence or 2 separate problems.

I have move different COP’s in to the #5 bank, same issue no firing. My wife also told me she only had heat in the rear unit of the expy. So I did a radiator flush and now I have heat in both front and rear units however intermittently. I moved several things around to complete the flush, MAF, several wires running to the injector and Cop in bank #5. Replaced everything and things seem to have gone south. As I refilled the coolant I noticed that the system was forcing coolant out at the radiator cap on the Degas bottle. Several times the temp gauge would drop under a load when the engine should be the hottest. I also notice a clicking sound from the engine by COP #5. This clicking is worse at start then goes away with load, immediately. It can return when sitting idling at a stop. Also at start a thick, grey smoke bellows out from the exhaust then dissipates as you move down the road.

Could this be a bad water pump or am I looking at 2 separate issues, UGH?

What you're describing sounds a lot like a blown head gasket. It's time to do a compression test.

i was reading on a blown headgasket, it stated the apppearance of a milkshake color in the oil. When I performed an oil chnage prior to everything going south I did find a milkshake colored slime on the inside of the oil cap. this made me remove the PCV valve that also had this milky substance in the hoses. All signs point to head gasket. Will the compression test validate this?

the slime on the oil cap is normal if the oil that you drained looked like that then you need to worry the cap is from a lot of short trips where the engine doesn't have time to burn off condensation
