Ok, I just posted 3 pictures in the Albums section of this forum of my pacesetter headers. I know the will also work on your 94 5.8. Everything was very easy to get to through the engine cover. The instillation was done in one afternoon.
Pacesetter does not offer a part number for an econoline. With a little part number referencing I found out the exhaust manifold part numbers are the same for a F150 and a E150. I bought headers to fit a F150 truck and they fit fine. I may a have the part number out in my shop. I will have to look.
I've got a pair of Hedman shorties for a 65 Mustang that I'm planning (knock on wood) to swap into the Bronco along with a 302. Looks like no worries. I'm surprised they don't make some long tubes for your application. I know Hooker makes long tubes for a 5.8 4x4 F250. Check out JBA too.
The problem with the long tube headers you will have to made up a custom system all the way back. I am looking for a off road Y pipe to get rid of the cat and can not find one. It looks like I will have to weld something up from a kit. Gibson makes a cat back replacement but nothing before that. If somebody knows of something let me know.
For a street driven machine, shorty headers will provide very little power gain or fuel efficiency improvement. Full length, small tube headers on the other hand will provide SIGNIFICANT power gain and fuel economy increase.
