I also will be eating a pop tart before I go to bed this evening.
if that was a question I would say before you go to all that work try bending and cleaning contacts that is a lot of the time the only issue, unless you really have a corroded circuit board.
if you take the gauge cluster out, be careful with the white background base. It looks like plastic, but it's not. It's extremely fragile and if you put too much pressure on it, it will crumble to dust. No joke, trust me.
I took mine out two days and to clean up, put new bulbs in, and paint the needles orange again and there were a couple little tiny pieces that fell out. I pinched them with my fingernails and they really did crumble.
I've read on here numberous times about the crumbling issue, they were for real!

This is why many dentside owners bite the bullet and pick up an 80s Econoline cluster for their truck. Plastic instead of crumbly stuff. I only wish I could do the same with my Torino. I've taken the cluster out 3 times now and it's really showing with the white dust collecting on my floorboards.

way to only give us partial info, it would be nice to know the flavor of the poptart and wether or not it has frosting, also when you say pop tart are you refering to just one that is in the wrapper or both? and if it's only one what do you plan on doing with the other to keep it freash?
there is only one pop tart in a package, it is seperated into two pieces at the factory to make the foil pagkaging smaller
it's a "green" thing, less money for packaging
if you only eat one of the pieces, then you are eating a half of a pop tart
