gears

I have a 2000 f250 supercab short bed with a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires.Im running 4.56 gears. Is this a good gear for the lift and tires for towing 6000-8000 lbs?

yes...

thats about perfect for a 35" tire, you could step up to 4:88's for better throttle response but really its not worth it if you have 4:56's already.

agree....... 4.56 is a pretty decent ratio for a 35" tire. the step up to a 4.88 probably wouldn't be worth the money, now if you were going to go from a 4.56 to a 5.13 or 5.38, that would be more worth the money.

If you have a set of stock wheels with 32" or 33" tires laying around you could put them on when towing. May look a little weird but it will pull even better.
