purchase a donor truck in the 70's years up to 1978. all the parts will transfer to your 66. change out the whole I-beam sections as a whole, use the stearing column and master cylindar from the donor and you will also have power stearing. i used a 76 f-150 that had been stripped for the sheet metal and paid 50 bucks for the frame and cab with no motor. built a trailer out of the box and sold it for 250 bucks. that gave me the money for new bushings and what not. Let's restate that Dutch, 73-79 for 6 banger, 73-76 for V8.

For the 65/66 F100, 4X2, believe there's a section in the 'articles/spec's' forum on the subject. Lots of info in the 'article/spec's forum if have not browsed before. Also, ddavidv posted link to an article on his website. As previously noted, save yourself world of hirt, and numberous trips to the salvage yard, and purchase a donor.
