1 piece window/removing the vent window
#16
Getting the glass is not a big deal. Make a cardboard template of the opening. Play around with it and trim to fit the opening with about the same overlap as a normal window. The trick is to get the bottom portion of the window just right. Use the bottom of the original window as a guide so you know how deep it has to go. Take it to a glazing shop, and voila, within about a week, they will have the glass cut for you.
As for the guys who like your vent windows, great. Thats the great thing about this hobby, we can all have different tastes, and its OK.
In addition to the look, another reason I did it was to reduce weight. Remember, glass doors, fenders, and a big *** 460 with an aluminum top end.

I wish we still had floor vents too. My 65 Mustang has them and I love those.
