be connected to the upfitter switches (see pix). This is on a 2010 F250, and are located to the left of the brake master cylinder, are blunt cut with shrink tubing over the ends.
I have looked behind the kick panel as suggested near the fuse cluster, and see nothing there. Thought maybe, just maybe Ford located them here on this model year.
Yup, you can use those wires with the switches. Just confirm the color codes at each end to make sure they are the same wires. Wouldn't hurt to trace them through the firewall to confirm also. My Truck is an '02 so I'm not 100% sure about the 2010. I do know the Super Dutys have the pre run access wires as standard in most if not all SD Trucks.

Are there special upfitter wires pre installed the SDs?
I thought I had read here somewhere that folks were using the easy access/passthrough wires with the upfitter switches?
I think the OP was just asking if can use them (passthrough wires) with the upfitter switch?

if so, those are the passthrough wires, and not the upfitter wires...
I'm pretty sure TexasRebel has it right. You will have to pull the fuse panel below the steering column to find the ends of the upfitters, and the ends of the pass-thru. But they won't be connected to each other until you splice them.
Caution - the pass-thru wires are not big enough to support the 30 amp capacity of upfitter #1 & #2. But they are big enough to handle #3 and #4.
ah,,, the upfitter wires in your photo are the ones that are factory hooked up to accessories? Isn't there one or two unused switches that can be used for addon accessories?
I guess I just took it for granted that the OP was asking if he could use the passthrough wires with his extra upfitter switch.

you can't quite tell from the picture, but the 4 upfitter wires are all blunt cut and wax covered... they aren't connected to any accessories from the factory.
It is convienient that all of the wires end here... When I get around to installing an inverter, the wire won't have to leave the firewall, but when I get around to installing an air compressor I will just cut the tips off of one of the upfitter wires and one of the passthrough wires, solder them together, and cover with shrinkwrap, then run a wire from the other end of the passthrough wire to the compressor.
bill, How large are the passthrough wires on the older trucks?
I haven't cut into them yet, but it seems from outward appearances that my passthrough wires are all the same gauge as the higher amp upfitter switch wires... could this have changed over the years?

Just by look and feel, I would estimate they are about 16 gauge. And the pass-thru wires are all the same size. The upfitters on the other hand are two different sizes. I would guess the two 30 amp are about #10 wire.
They may indeed be different on '08 and up. But it appears in your photo that there are two different sizes on the upfitters. The yellow and the green look larger to me.
Wow! Thanx for the quick replies, but I think they are as mentioned by a few of you, "pass-thru" wires.
Somewhere under the dash, on the drivers side, there are 4 relays that I can connect to. I have a feeling from the description that there is not an actual wire supplied by Ford, I supply that myself when connecting up wahtever it is I connect
So if I might, just what are the "pass-thru" wires? These are as I said, blunt cut, with shrink tubing and wax sealed. None of these is large enough for a 30amp circuit, so I doubt they are connect to the switches.
So if I might, just what are the "pass-thru" wires?
They are for you to use any way you wish. They simply pass through the firewall, so you don't have to make any penetration yourself. They are blunt cut on both ends. One end under your hood, the other end under your dash behind the fuse block.
