Head Scratcher!

Have a motor that I acquired with a parts truck I bought. There is no casting number on it that I can locate. The firing order on the intake indicates that it is a 302, but the distributer fits perfectly in a 351w. Any Ideas?

Block casting number is down by the starter. Is the motor carbed or EFI?, Is the distributor hole in the block roughly level with the intake gasket surface or about an inch below?

I know where the casting number is supposed to be but it is not there. The lip that it is supposed to be on is not even there. It is a carbed motor, and I'll check about the distributor hole. Thanks for the input.

I pulled the heads, measured the stroke, and figured out that it is a 302. Thanks for all of the input!
