Does anyone have any experience with replacing the marker lamps on a 1998 Ranger? I gave up last night trying to figure out how to remove the makers’ lamp and turn signal assembly? It’s a little embarrassing, however if anyone out there could help me I’d really appreciate it.
The bulb I think is a 194 and its amber or yellow in color.
There are 2 screws at the bottom of the assembly. Between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the assembly. Then you pop the top part out. The top has those pins that catch.
NP. I have to get an inspection this month so last week a walked all around the truck doing my own inspection. I noticed those marker lights. at first i thought they were just fake, lol, I think they have been blow out for the 3 years i have owned it. then when i looked thru the lens I saw the amber bulb. I thought the amber bulb was weird because the lens is clear. I purchased the bulbs, i think 194 rings a bell. I poked around and saw the 2 screws and pooped it off. the other side was blown too. I had a license plate bulb out also. go around and check everything. Who needs the cops pulling you over for something stupid
Anyway, I hear what you mean about correct lighting. Living up here in Alaska its dark most of the winter with not much else to do but party, party, etc.
