Trying to get a 6.0 intercooler for my 96' 7.3, but no one seems to want to sell the y pipe that comes out of the turbo and redirects the air to the cooler. Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks
My best info would be to just search ebay and craigslist. Maybe look at local salvage yards, etc. You probably know but its gotta be early 99.
I got lucky and saw a guy local on craigslist that had an early 99 turbo for sale. I emailed him and asked if he had the spyder and he did. He didnt have it advertised but I asked anyway and got lucky.
man i'm glad i posted this before i bought something. So why does the spyder have to be off of a early 99? Will any of the 6.0 intercoolers work? I just thought that I could get everything off any year 6.0. Thanks
The spyder off of an early 99 is the only one that will work with our intake plenums and match up to our turbo. Late 99 on up 7.3 is different size intake plenum (3 inch I think) and ours are 2" plus they have a different turbo setup. 6.0 would be totally different. Any 7.3 or 6.0 intercooler will work.

Also you need to fab your pipes or buy a Kit and some boots
Does anyone know what the size of the I/C pipes are? My buddies got a manderal bender and if i can just bend up som nice looking pipes for my truck i would just do that and be done with it, then have them powder coated and have some nice custom pipes.
Ya it came in the shop that he just moved into, previous owner left it behind. And he has the dies for up to 3.5 inch pipe and it does a dam good job. He bent up a dual exhaust for his PSD and it came out real nice.
