Here's a new one...
My Expy has been stumbling at cold start, high idle. If I start it and let if warm for a few mintues it's fine. If I start it (first thing in the morning or even after it has set for some time during the day) and take off fairly quickly, it will stumble for the first few seconds. Once it has been revved a couple of times and I am off down the road, it is fine. Seems almost like it is loading up but with FI and ECU's that should never happen. It was doing it before I brought it in for my 60k mile service but I attributed it to some bad gas. Well, I have a few tank fulls past that and it still happens.
Sounds like your IAC valve (little metal part attached to the backside of the throttle body) might be sticky, dirty air filter, dirty throttle body, dirty air flow sensor etc. I just replaced my filter, cleaned my TB and IAC and my Expy idles better than I can ever remember...somethimes I think my engine has stalled because it is so smooth and quiet. Furthermore, throttle response is much improved.
