New gas cans
They are also a problem in the boat when we need the fuel in the running tank asap.
Just does not dump fuel fast enough.

I agree, I spill more with these new cans than I ever did in 25+ yrs of using the old style.
I'm going to get a No-spill one, one of these days when I am ordering something else and think about it.

I don't know where you got your price, but it is way high... and even the cheap ones are $15-20 for a 5-gal. Is another few bucks for one that works not a good deal? Bailey's (logging equip supplier) has the 5gal No-Spill for $28. That's not money worth quibbling about for one that works. Chainsaws, Outdoor Power Equipment and Tree Care Supplies from Bailey's There are other places to buy them too.
I repeat: of the 2 or 3 new CARB designs I have seen and used, they all suck. The No-spill has gotten great reviews, though I haven't used one yet. But I will, next time I need one.

the new style ones are pretty infuriating. For one they take FOREVER to drain out. I think it probably took about 15 minutes to empty a 5 gallon one into my car. If you none of you noticed, i think there's a disclaimer on the nozzles that say they're not intended to use on automobiles. How brilliant is that? I mean seriously, who on earth would ever need to use a gas can on an automobile? Engineers never cease to amaze me.
I had to buy a special nozzle that'll fit into an auto gas tank, it costed like $15 and it's a total piece of crap. I have to wrap a couple rags around the nozzle to keep it from spilling gas all over the place, it leaks inexplicably and profusely.
Back to the slow drain time, i ended up just jabbing a small vent hole in the top of the gas cans with an icepick. It leaks some gas but....the cans pour gas all over the place no matter what you do anyways, so oh well. Now it'll only take maybe a handful of minutes to leak. I remember before i jabbed the hole in them, my hands would fall asleep holding the damn can up for so long.

In case you don't know what a jiggle hose is, I'll try to describe it.
It's a lenght of 3/4" hose with a fitting on one end that has a marble in it.
The can has to be higher than the gas tank. put the fitting end in the can and the other end in the tank, give the hose a few shakes then stand there and wait till the can is empty. No mess, no fuss.
I've been useing one for a couple of decades, to fill all my mowers, my autos and a few other's autos, with never a problem.

I've seen them before...basically a siphon hose.
Just glad I am not the only one who thinks these new "environmentally friendly" cans are a joke. Just wish there was some way to make the engineers and beauracrats see it the way we see them.
