Communication!!!!!!!!!!
I was in a meeting this morning, at work.
I posted on our door, that we would be CLOSED from 10:30 a.m. until approximately 11:35 a.m. today, so that I/we could attend a Staff Meeting.
I also posted the telephone number of the person that was 'covering' for me while I was in this meeting.
Long story short. . . .
At 11:16 a.m., somebody tries to open my office door.
At 11:17 a.m., I hear the telephone ring of the person that was supposed to be 'covering' for me. He does not answer the phone. How do I know this? He's on the other end of the video conference taking place! (Oh, he was specifically instructed to stay 'on the job' and 'cover' for me, by our general supervisor!)
He opens his cellphone and closes it, canceling the call.
11:25 a.m., somebody opens my door (still closed and locked).
It's the company security!
I explain that I'm in a meeting, but, the guy that got security to let him 'in', said, "I don't care. I need to get something for my boss."
"Ummmmmmmmm. . .Sir, I'm in a meeting. Your boss doesn't have anything in here."
"I'll wait for it."

"Wait for what? Sir, I'm in a meeting."
"He sent a presentation package here, to get converted to .pdf for a meeting, to hand-out on CD."
As it turns out, this guy was not only in the wrong office. . . he was in the wrong building!!!!
When I came back to the video conference, I got my rear-end chastised for not communicating that I was in a meeting!

Oh well. It's Monday.
How 'bout you?
Have you ever tried to explain/communicate something, and then being the one 'to blame' (at fault)????
I need a vacation.
