So now what?
So I have been having problems with the tranny on my 94 F-150 with the 5.8L and the E4OD and pretty much have most of them worked out but one. The first was the filter fell off and was causing me all kinds of problems fixed that. Then the VSS went out and was causing me problems fixed that. The tranny shifts great now but when you first put it in gear in the morning it wants to start out in 4th. You manually shift it to first and manually upshift it is fine and after awhile it will start working correctly in drive. At the moment there are no codes and besides that one problem it works fine. So any ideas? MLPS maybe, but if that was acting up wouldn't it throw some kind of code? Kinda of at a loss here don't know if it is mechanical or electrical. I did some searching and some of the other posts were kinda of in that area but nothing definitive. So if anybody has the same problem or has had the same problem what did you do to fix it?
