thing is,without knowing the mileage and at least pics,you could end up putting more $ into them to get at the point where it could be cheaper to just go with something newer.
there's a point where your throwing good $ after bad.unless of course it's a truck/project to build that you always wanted for fun.

email him and get some pics and ask for millage.
if it doesn't has a million miles,the parts alone could be worth 1k easy right.
otherwise,no telling how long the parts will go for lol.
i know when im done with my trucks,they aren't worth a grand.(all been light duty f150's tho)
