oh lol!
well,i suppose, but kinda overkill unless you want to lift her,or plow commercially tho.
i'l get a plow for mine before next winter.but it's just for a yard or two.
tho if i do decide to get a few accounts,id probably switch to a d60.
otherwise tho, can't you think of better ways to spend $ on upgrades that you could actually benefit from beside turning her into the f350 just because lol?

Well what is wrong with me having a D60. I happen to like the way they handle better than the D50, and though I don't really use it for a work truck when I want to do something wether it is rated for it or not and I don't like to break things. lol
Unless something bad happens I will keep at least 3 of my pickups forever so why not have parts that last forever and there is less to break, I also like the stance of them.

I am getting double the tire life after doing a 60 swap, and no broken parts while plowing.

That 44 IFS was costing so much in tire wear, that I paid 1500 for a 60, spent another 1500 rebuilding the 60 and adding limited slip, that the axle has already put money back in my pocket in 4 years.

Kingpin 60 was 91 and down.
Ball joint, 92 and up.

Ride, no difference.
Tire wear, big difference.
Broken parts, big difference.

right.but you plow commercially Dave.that's a lot of extra weight on that front end and extreme pressure pushing snow constantly.
if the 250's weren't good enough for many people, they wouldn't sell them and only make the f350's.
it's all in how we use our rigs really.
for example, doing what i do,iv had to replace trans/engines/rear springs/transfer cases/shocks of course, but not once have i had tire wear issues nor front end problems other than the typical front end replaceable things, usually only once per truck(tie ends/ball joints) etc.and this was all on lite duty 150 trucks w the ld d44.
because i simply don't work the front end.
the rear, now thats always got more than it should lol.
its all in how we work them.
im not saying to anyone dont do it.im just saying if i did it,id be throwing my $ away for something i simply dont need, and never had issues with.
now, when i get my plow before next winter, and start plowing more than just my or my fams drives......you betcha.D60 swap.
for my tree service truck needs ......would be a waste.i know this, because the LD D44's are actually the only part of the drive train i didn't work, and never needed replacement, nor worn hard parts.
its all in how their worked.
now,iv never gone over 200k on a truck tho(when my rigs hit this, its way cheaper for me to start again personally.)
so if ya use your rigs longer than i,i dunno how much longer one can take.
we all use them so differently. one person with the 250,should have gotten the 350 or do the swap.i agree.some people like myself(for now.this may change.) it would simply be like putting an elevator in an outhouse.it just wouldn't do much for me lol.

(tho now im into the HD truck,it wont be 200k mark when this ones spent.the rust/age is whats going to bring this one down.i just hope to make it there to 200k before she crumbles lol.)

Well I am double 200K and another 50K on top of that.

Hopefully I can take the cab off, address some rust issues on the cab floor, rework the radiator shell and put a couple fenders and doors on it this summer.

I am expecting 700 K plus before I have to do any work on the engine or drivetrain except for those pesky U joints and drive shafts.

I have never done it but from what I understand just some tools.
I would have new ubolts on hand and do any maintenance while it was out.

No track bar that I know of , that is for coil fronts. Maybe Dave will chime in he has done it. If I understand it right everything bolts up except maybe the front driveline.

I heard you are supposed to use a 350 drive shaft cause it is shorter than the 50 ttb Drive shat.
