Fellas,
Anyone know if there is a good year to swap in? Are there seats that will bolt in from newer trucks, like captain chairs or similar? I know up to 96 at least should all be direct fit for my interior as it is the F150 extra cab. Thoughts, experience?? Thanks!
Josh
You have a new welder, they don't need to bolt in. I have heard they will fit your seat tracks for a lot of years. If you need them for a supercab I think 96 is the last year.
haha yeah i guess i could do some fabbin! I am thinking of getting the tan setup for the broncos eddie bauer edition that i had in my 1993. The captains chairs with center console. I liked that! When i do it, it will be a good time to dynamat and re upholster with black all weather flooring.
I've got the brown-tan captains chairs and console from a 85 2X in my dually they are pretty confortable. My wifes 99 F150 has pretty much the setup except the passenger seat doesn't tilt forward.
I put 99 super duty power cloth captains chairs with the middle seat that folds down into an arm rest/cup holder in my 90. Had to run a couple wires and drill a few holes, had the whole swap done in under half an hour. Cost 60 bucks.
Its a great swap, going from the bench to the captains chairs makes the truck more fun the ride in, gives you the drink holders and makes the inside look way better when you open the door.
iv always liked the full bench in my trucks.soft and springy.tho iv always added more springs than was meant to be in the rear lol.
i know my dads 95 with the captains where always way to firm for my liking.
the 93's bench was hard too.they didn't make it the same like my old truck had, i pulled that sucker and swapped in my 96's.i need a seat cover now tho cus its gray and my new interior is red.tho it actually doesn't look all that bad.
