I may have found a turbo kit, but it is the pre sidewinder. Non wastgated. Are they crap or ok? I cant find much info on them.
I have one. IMO they're well made, but don't expect ANY support for them from Banks. The kid I talked to on the phone there had no clue of its existence, and the only manuals they post online are for the Sidewinder. I would never pay what seems to be the going rate of 700-800 bucks for one, but if you can get one cheap, supposedly the compressors can be rebuilt using commonly available kits if you're willing to do some digging.
The manual for the old non gated system is online, it's just not listed as a truck system, the Van manual is the one for the non gated unit. Other than a remote filter instead of the airbox, it's the same system.
The only thing that differs between it and the hard copy I have for my old system is the amount of fuel rate increase and the recommended egts... Less fuel and lower egts on the van system.
