What a pointless video as with all "pull offs" as such. If you want to see which one pulls better, put a friggin' trailer on each one and pull up a big damn hill. That KW will destroy that PSD.
That's pathetic. Semi trucks without a trailer are helpless, I know from personal experience. Even with an empty trailer hooked on, I've gotten stuck on grass. Like Dan said, a good 20K or more and that truck probably wouldn't spin a tire. Not to mention the tires on it probably aren't made for dirt but the highway.
Still fun to watch people do things like that thinking they've got something. Hook 20 ton behind the PSD and see how they compare.
Because you see on YT how boneheads try to use them as proof of how much better one truck is than another. Waste of time, and also dangerous. That chain could take your head off if it snaps. I don't really see the fun in it. Go to a track or pull to see who is faster/pulls better.
EDIT: Looks like a strap in that vid, but I've seen chains used as well. Either way, a flying chain or strap hook/ratchet would do some damage.

Straps are the worst. They're like a big rubber band when used. When they break, they do some damage. It's best to tie a weight or put a blanket over the middle of the strap or chain in case it breaks. I've seen straps break and the ends fly through windows, into seats, into windshields, etc. Lots of injuries too.
There is no weight on the drives of that KW, we all know that both loaded with trailer is not equal. Put 10k on each trailer and the pickup still out pulls the KW up a hill, i would bet anything on it.... Our trailer is much lighter, 40K lightweight VS 12K lightweight.. Not really fair is it???
